Up close and personal with a javelina.
(I was standing behind a brick wall when this was taken.)

A juvenile javelina discovers a cracker we'd thrown out
for the birds.  They ate our bird seed blocks, too, until
we learned to keep them out of their reach.
This javelina's "collar" is clearly visible.

A mama and her half-grown baby say hello.

A group of javelinas taking a siesta just outside our bathroom window.

Another siesta.
(That's not snow on the ground.  The dirt was very light-colored and sandy.)
