We lost Lily very unexpectedly on July 11, 2011 to a ruptured tumor on her liver. She was the uncontested leader of our pack of dogs and her departure leaves a big void for them and for us.

Sucrose died on June 4, 2011 at the age of approximately 15 years. Like his daughter Nocturne, we suspect organ failure due to extreme old age. We'd been watching him closely for several months, as his health had been declining.

His death leaves us gliderless for the first time in 13 years.
